10.14.2017: Frozen in Time

1/2 of the two athletics events I captured yesterday! So, I photographed the swim teams Alumni meet to get into practice of photographing high speed events, and to keep up my goal to photograph more athetics this semester.

Honestly, this batch of photos, even though it was my first time capturing swimming as a photographer, gave me a huge satisfaction, cause swim was a huge challenge for me, because everything went so fast. But, i dont think I would have had it any other way. This meet will probably cement itself into the top 10 of most favorite events ive caught on camera, cause the atmosphere was just phenomenal and filled with energy.

Anyway, here are my photographs, and dont worry, I plan on getting better.

*all the events i post on wordpress, i do plan to post to fb once i get back in 2 weeks

09.30.2017: Cloudy with a chance of redemption

Ugh. I meant to go home this weekend to chill with the fam, but guess who has a giant 2 day midterm monday and wednesday? Had to study, and as the first grade of the entire semester, this is kinda important, if you know what I mean.

But, I did have some time to sporadically shoot humans (santi)  while I was working on an outline for my exam and some campus shots when i walked to make tea. I also caught some geese flying over the church on a morning walk (comment if you can see them, its a bit faint, but they are there!), which was probably one of the best timed photos ive taken ever.

Kinda nailed the aesthetic though, and was just proud of the unedited raw photos as I was with the edited photos.

09.23.2017: Floofs and other animals

Portraits of the animals I met during my day in Boston yesterday. All these photos were taken with consent of their respective humans.

09-20-2017: Perfect

Guys, today has been an absolutley amazing day filled with a giant mental rollercoaster from mediocre to simply absolutley phenomenal.

Took some photographs from my vantage point in Goddard Library in the afternoon, and edited them to make them look real filmy, and honestly, just now I caught one of the most stunning sunsets on top of the parking garage. I saw it from goddard asked a friend to watch my stuff and sprinted to catch an absolutley surreal moment.

I couldnt even believe myself (and am currently destroying my keyboard as I am typing this post), and was screaming internally out of joy the entire time the sun looked like an impressionist painting, with the clouds being like broad brush strokes, making the world glow in reds and blues.

I dont know, it just feels good to be alive.

Sunday, September 17

Whoo, been a long time since I posted last — its been nuts — back in college, and officially doing studio art (concentrated in photography) as a minor. Its been rough, with everything speeding through so quickly it seems like a blur.

But definetly going to get into a habit of posting more often, and posting of my progress in my artwork as well as how I do it.

Getting back to today, it  was such a good day. Caught the fog at 7am on top of the parking garage and then later in the day,  did some experiments with light exposures outside while sitting on my blanket, which im super happy with.
